ClassPass is an app that connects fitness enthusiasts with the right classes – which are mainly closed now due to the coronavirus pandemic. That means the platform just had to invent something to keep its partners afloat, so now ClassPass is re-launching its live video streaming tools. About 500 studio partners of the platform have already joined the initiative with their live classes.
The re-launch of ClassPass Live is going to make thousands of workouts available to the app's users for free – and there's a bunch of additional materials you can purchase with in-app credits. This way, people can do their favorite exercise routine at home, and studios can earn money even while being completely locked down. The partners can set their own prices and advertise their classes using any social media.
Moreover, ClassPass will not be taking its share of the revenue from those classes until June, leaving all of the money to its studio partners. And since live-streamed workouts have been quite popular lately amongst millions of people confined to their homes, ClassPass Live and other similar platforms can help thousands of gyms and studios all over the world survive the pandemic.
